Rosie Monday is an electric being with a fiercely musical presence. Receiving the name Adjoa - her Ghana, West African parents’ cultural appreciation for their ‘Monday-born’ child - this hip hop musician continually embodies the free-spirited and bold energies these namesakes are said to inherit.
Throughout 2019, Rosie Monday ran a weekly music video campaign called #MondayRosemix, dropping remixes of the most popular Rap and R&B singles every Monday on YouTube, Instagram, and Soundcloud. Her thought-provoking and hypnotic verses met instrumentation from the latest releases by artists like J.Cole, Missy Elliot, Young Thug, Gunna, Da Baby, The Weeknd, and Cardi B. Since January 2019, these promoted videos on Instagram have collectively gained over 1.9 million impressions, with an average reach of 1.4 million accounts, helping Rosie Monday gain considerable attention in Toronto. Landing her a spot on Canada’s premier Hip Hop playlist, Northern Bars, and helping her secure bookings for the Canadian Music Week Festival (2021) and New Skool Rules Music Conference (2021).
Rosie Monday’s debut EP, 'Love Over Likes' is confirmation that she understands the weight of her contributions and the value of her experiences, especially in 2020. Seventeen minutes of unapologetic, introspective and captivating bars, beats, concepts, and melodies that automatically nod your head and move your feet.

“Sometimes I feel like I’m not doing enough. It’s like division of time, just making sure that you’re putting enough into admin and you’re meeting enough people, you’re learning so you’re refilling yourself enough so you actually have different perspectives to speak to. At the heart of my creativity is understanding and searching for different perspectives” - We Cry Deep Magazine
